Forex & brokerage licensing

Offshore speed or regulated access — thirteen brokerage regimes, matched to your client base, capital, and the liquidity and payment infrastructure your model depends on.

01 Overview

A brokerage license is only one component of a working FX business. The regime you choose determines your permitted leverage, the markets you can market into, and whether payment processors and banking partners will support you — long before it determines anything else.

Offshore regimes such as Anjouan, SVG, the Marshall Islands, Vanuatu and Seychelles offer fast, cost-efficient authorizations for brokers serving clients globally, with flexibility on leverage that regulated regimes restrict. Regulated authorizations — Cyprus, the UK, South Africa, Lithuania — cost more and impose real obligations, but unlock European and institutional client bases, banking and market credibility.

We structure the entity and ownership, prepare and manage the application, and then build the operating layer: liquidity and execution arrangements, payment and banking connectivity, and the affiliate and retention infrastructure that makes a brokerage scale.

03 How the engagement runs
  1. 01

    Feasibility & jurisdiction mapping

We map your products, target markets and custody or money-flow model against the regimes that can lawfully serve them — then rank the realistic options on cost, timeline, credibility and banking access.

  2. 02

    Structuring & entity design

Incorporation, ownership and control structures, director requirements, registered office and the intercompany architecture regulators and banks expect to review.

  3. 03

    Application & regulator engagement

Business plan, financial model, AML/CFT programme, policies and every supporting exhibit — filed, then managed through queries and clarifications to determination.

  4. 04

    Banking & payments connectivity

Sponsor-bank, payment-processor and liquidity introductions. We treat banking as part of the licensing decision, because an authorization you cannot bank is not an operating business.

  5. 05

    Implementation & ongoing compliance

Custody and safeguarding arrangements, compliance staffing, monitoring and reporting, and support as your footprint expands into additional jurisdictions.

Several offshore regimes — Anjouan, SVG and the Marshall Islands among them — move quickly and are widely used by retail brokers. The faster options tend to carry less banking credibility, so the decision is really about how quickly you need to launch versus how readily you need to be banked. We map that trade-off for your model.

Yes — acquiring retail clients in the EU requires authorization in a member state, typically accompanied by passporting. Cyprus is a common home. An offshore entity cannot lawfully market into the EU, and doing so creates genuine exposure.

Yes. Liquidity, execution and payment connectivity are part of the operating build, and we introduce partners appropriate to your model, volumes and target markets.

Increasingly, yes — with the right structure and compliance controls around source of funds and monitoring. We design the funding stack around what your processors and banks will actually accept.

It ranges from modest paid-in capital offshore to substantial regulatory capital in supervised regimes. We fix the requirement against your specific jurisdiction and business plan during feasibility.
